La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) From the Words of the Thieves – Part 5 (Episodes 1 to 2)

Our favorite thieves in red jumpsuits are back! La Casa de Papel or Money Heist starts streaming Part 5 Volume 1 on Netflix today. We get to check how Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó) and the rest of the thieving gang is doing after the death of la puta ama (the fucking boss) Nairobi (Alba Flores). Well, they are a mess. And this is them without knowing that The Professor (Álvaro Morte) is held captive by Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri). But they now know that The Professor does not have a Plan B for their current heist. So, it is all @#$%&* all around. We are just waiting for shit to hit the fan and enjoy the ride.

Berlin (Pedro Alonso) is still very much part of the Money Heist world so much so that it seems like he did not really die a several episodes back but just got out of the heist to have a different life in the outside world. I am not complaining. Not one bit. Berlin continues to be his witty and charming self and living the high life with his captivating wife, Tatiana (Diana Gómez). And his family gets bigger with the introduction of his grown up son Rafael (played by the wonderful Patrick Criado), who is conveniently an engineer with background in cybersecurity. Does this mean he will be part of The Professor’s future heists, if he is not already working somewhere in the background for the current heist? So excited to find out!

Also, we see Berlin as a father. He is funny as he thinks that his son is a nuclear warhead who comes between him and Rafael’s mother and an impediment in the couple’s journey to happiness.

Speaking of impediments, Gandía (José Manuel Poga) is one great wall that keeps on hurting the group by his mere presence. His has a sharp tongue that more dangerous than his fighting skills. Of course, the annoying Arturo (Enrique Arce) is still alive and continues to stir the pot. The scene where he tries to be Rambo is hopefully his last highlight reel. The scene where he reminisces his “year and another” of affair with Stockholm (Esther Acebo) is sad but I cannot bring myself to cheer for him even for a millisecond. He is that irksome for me. Props to the actor and the whole team for making Arturo so unlovable. I have to admit that TR and I cheered when Stockholm shot Arturo. We both asked, “Is he finally dead?” with fingers crossed.

We will find out in La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) Part 5 Episode 3.

Quotes from Part 5 Episode 1:  The End of the Road La Casa de Papel (Money Heist):

“If you move an inch, I’ll shoot you. And trust me, I’d love to see you dead. I’m the wife of a dead man. I’m a disgraced police officer. People who used to love me think I’m a torturer. All thanks to you. And the only reason I’m not emptying my clip into your fucking brain is because someone’s gonna need me for the next 18 years. But it’s a really fine line. And if you make me cross it, I’ll do it with a smile on my face.” – Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri)

“You mother and I had an incredible relationship. Exceptional woman. And you stood in the way of our happiness. I wanted to take her to dinners, go travelling, make love to her in the most beautiful places in the world. And then you showed up and ruined it all. You were a nuclear warhead. You completely destroyed our dreams.” – Berlin or Andrés de Fonollosa (Pedro Alonso)

“My love, the things that actually matter in life always come unexpectedly.” – Berlin

“They’ll come out victorious or they’ll come out dead.” – Colonel Luis Tamayo (Fernando Cayo)

“Arturo had the M16 and he’s useless. Arturo with a bazooka is useless!” – Stockholm or Mónica Gaztambide (Esther Acebo)

“I’ll never turn my gang in. Never! Listen to me. The plan is designed to survive any setbacks, including my death.” – The Professor or Salvador “Salva” Martín or Sergio Marquina (Álvaro Morte)

“Proof can be fabricated when it’s for a greater cause. Are we new to this or what?” – Colonel Luis Tamayo

“In heists, love can get multiplied.” – Tokyo or Silene Oliveira (Úrsula Corberó)

“I’ve known that ever since the first time I was kissed in the moment before a heist. You heart pounds inside your chest. You walk in and you spread chaos. And in the middle of all the turmoil you look at him in the eyes and realize you’re so fucking happy. Leaving with a backpack full of cash, screaming in the motorcycle. Feeling indestructible. And holding him while driving at 180 kilometers per hour. You cross the border and you’re in Portugal. And you stop anywhere because you want him so bad you can’t resist it any longer. You just want to devour time before it slips away. And that makes every moment become so magical.” – Tokyo

“After that, I knew I’d never find a love like that again. Because he was the love of my life.” – Tokyo

“Rafael, were you just checking out my wife?” – Berlin

“Would you make love to my wife? I’m your father. I’ll know if you’re lying.” – Berlin

“To an extent, it’s flattering that a young man like you would want to polish my wife’s beautiful thighs. Would you look at that? See how confusing life can get sometimes? Paradoxical.” – Berlin

“I would never steal for you in my life.” – Rafael de Fonollosa (Patrick Criado)

“Death is simply just a word, a priori.  It comprises everything that doesn’t exist. On the other hand, once you’re dead, you won’t remember you were alive anymore.” – Berlin

Rafael: How could you possibly say you love me but you don’t care if I get killed.

Berlin: What I don’t want is for you to die before you’ve even lived. What I’m offering you right now is a guaranteed path to liberty. With me, you’ll find authentic liberation. And if we  ever have to pay a price for it, then we pay it.

“It’s possible this is the last time I’ll speak to all of you.” – The Professor

“Well, hello to every single one of those cities you’re named after but will never again have the chance to visit.” – Alicia Sierra

“The things that are really important in life, Rafael, have a high price. Rebellion. Liberty. Ideals.” – Berlin

“Do you have any last words, professor?” – Alicia Sierra

“There are no big battles without big opponents.” – Alicia Sierra

“Over and out, my cute gangsters.” – Alicia Sierra

“He’s so arrogant that he has no Plan B?” – Tokyo

“There’s no Plan B because only Plan A can work.” – Lisbon or Raquel Murillo (Itziar Ituño)

“We’re up against the ropes. But we’re not gonna end up in the morgue.” – Lisbon

“In that moment, it felt as if we were hitting a wall at 150 kilometers per hour. The end of the road. We all experience that at some point in our lives. One day your brother is diagnosed with a terminal illness. One day you realize you won’t ever see your child again. That you won’t see your friends again. Or your unrequited love. Or that you’ll never hug your father again. Other days, you’re leaving a bank with your boyfriend and a bullet takes him away from you. Your family won’t ever see each other again. Everything we experienced while dressed in red was coming to a close. This was the end of our journey together.” – Tokyo

Quotes from Part 5 Episode 2:  Do You Believe in Reincarnation? La Casa de Papel (Money Heist):

“Locked up for 100 hours, trapped, about to be killed, and having lost a best friend, it feels like 100 years have gone by. And just going outside feels like the biggest freedom in the world. It doesn’t even matter that thousands of guns are pointed at you. Unarmed, barefoot, with the sun on your face, wrapped in silence, you feel free. We were sending a message of hope. There she was, Lisbon, walking out of the bank with us. She wasn’t at the National Court or in prison like everyone thought. We were showing them if we were capable of doing that, we could do anything.  And the people began to believe in miracles.” – Tokyo or Silene Oliveira (Úrsula Corberó)

“You’re giving me a hard-on, Angelito.” – Colonel Luis Tamayo (Fernando Cayo)

“It looks like The Three Graces have arrived to give a gentle touch to the heist.” – Colonel Luis Tamayo

“Showtime, my precious reptile.” – Palermo or Martín or The Engineer (Rodrigo de la Serna)

“I’m beginning to like that fucking nutcase.” – Tokyo

“Revenge is an act of selfishness.” – Palermo

“I need people who are gonna get in there to conquer territory, not to save lives.” – Sagasta (José Manuel Seda)

“You demand? Who the fuck do you think you are?” – Colonel Luis Tamayo

“Sir, I’m the inspector in charge of this country’s special operations. And though you try to diminish us, let me remind you we’re the team that took down Berlin. We got him when he had a Browning.” – Suárez (Mario de la Rosa)

“Defend? Like the Italians? Huh? Even though we have little Messi on our team? And Neymar? And Cristiano Ronaldo? No, Governor. We’re not defending here. God, no. We’re playing tiki-taka!” – Arturo Román (Enrique Arce)

“Arturo! I’m going to rip your fucking balls off!” – Denver or Daniel or Ricardo Ramos (Jaime Lorente)

“Who the fuck are you?” – Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri)

“You know that I let you break up with me. But you didn’t get to hear what I had to say. You’re not leaving this place without me. You know that, right?” – Tokyo

“Are you gonna cut the steel or flirt with me?” – Rio (Miguel Herrán)

“I can two things at the same time. Hell, maybe even three.” – Tokyo

“Arturito! Do you believe in reincarnation? If you don’t, you should be negotiating.” – Palermo

“I can hold my breath as long as it takes to fuck the cunt of your whore mother.” – César Gandía (José Manuel Poga)

“Denver! Are you listening? Do you think she loves you? Denver. You’re not man enough for that woman. She would always say that I taught her what love is. Did she ever tell you something like that? No. You know why? Cause you don’t have half the brains I have. And you can never get where I got.” – Arturo Román

“I know that kid like I gave birth to him myself. I know where I have to poke him so that he loses his cool. And that’s what I’m gonna do. And when he comes out, I’ll turn him into ashes.” – Arturo Román

“With me … with me, she never wondered, “What am I doing with this guy?” Never. And I was married, you know? And she knew that. But we couldn’t stay apart, not even for a minute. You could literally see the sparks fly, man. Right there, between us, every time we met by the coffee machine. We were doing it all the time. In every single corner. One year and another. I mean, we made love anywhere, Denver. It didn’t matter where it was. Under the money-printing machine, or in the cafeteria restroom, or in my own office. Or on top of the coin displays. It didn’t matter. And every night… every night, as soon as she got home, she would send me these beautiful texts, she would send pictures, and she would say, she would swear to me that she never felt like that before and she couldn’t live without me. Denver, did she ever say anything like that to you? Huh? I know she hasn’t.” – Arturo Román

“You stole her from me, you son of a bitch! You had to fucking kidnap her! And when she came to her senses, she was in the middle of nowhere, condemned to spend her entire life with a fucking moron!” – Arturo Román

“Stop trying to be someone you’re not. You’ll never be one of them!” – Arturo Román
