The Alley by Vikings (UP Town Center, Quezon City) – The Place and The Plates

Last week, Che, Hope and I went to The Alley by Vikings at UP Town Center to celebrate a personal milestone (not really). TR, my favorite little girl, tagged along to meet the girls, also known as Las Brujas.

This post, which is the last of a three-part series, features the interior and the food we consumed that day.

This London Bus Co. display is not a food stall but one of the places where customers can pay.

This table is adjacent to the cashier

This man-made tree is the focal point of the area to the right of the main entrance. It is surrounded by Frituen Batsoy, Atching Lillian, Buono, New York Pizza, Just A Minute Steak, Ferino’s, the dirty ice cream cart, and the Pinoy street food cart.

Che’s salad from Antipasto Blvd. Photo by Che.

Che’s bagnet from Frituen Batsoy. I had a small portion of this bagnet, and it was yum! The sauce that came with it complemented the meat. Che said that the skin was crisp and had loads of flavor.

Che’s bubblegum ice cream with toppings from Hunneycomb. She said she liked it.

Hope’s chicken with vegetables and vinegar

Hope’s dessert plate from Hunneycomb

Hope had two cups of coffee from Nord’s Coffee Bar (no photo of the coffee, so this will do)

Pasta plate that we did not order

My plate of sushi from Yatai. My sauce had soy sauce, calamansi, and pink radish. This was my first plate because I was starving.

My chowder from O’Sean Eleven. It was warm enough but it ooommph. It lacked taste.

O’Sean Eleven’s giant squid (a little rubbery for my taste) and Lost & Pound’s L&P Chicken Wings (dry and bland), My Burgeritto (patty lacked seasoning and the entire burger was dry), and Ballpark Nachos (had generous serving of meat and toppings and nachos remained crisp for a while).

O’Sean Eleven’s giant squid and chips and fries (chip was way too oily and fries were okay, but too thin and aerated)

Street Wok’s Chicken Satay (chicken was tender and packed a lot of flavor), Pad Thai (it was so-so), Thai Spicy Chicken (chicken was tender and it was not too spicy that it did not numb my tongue), and rice.

Hunneycomb’s Pecan Cheesecake, Sansrival Cheesecake, Blueberry Cheesecake, and Oreo Cheesecake. I liked all of them but they were not exceptional as cheesecakes go.

Hunneycomb’s revel bar, red velvet bar, and churros. The revel bar was divine, but the red velvet bar was too soggy, it deterred me from tasting it properly. The churros were freshly made and the chocolate and hazelnut dips were perfect for them.

Ice cream with sprinkles for the birthday celebrator. The bad experience I had with the dirty ice cream made me decide not to taste this.
