Entering the confines of M Bakery (Magnolia Bakery) feels so sexy in the city. Natural light flooding in from its display windows, highlighting the beauteous array of to-die-for freshly baked desserts on the immaculate shelves, while cozy sitting areas await the sexy in the city (which may not be for long, after consuming many of those to-die-for pastries). Choosing among the cakes and cupcakes is a dilemma but waiting for them while watching the bakers busily frosting and designing them is a lot of fun.

Luckily, I did not have to go through the dilemma of choosing which of the pretty pastries I would take home with me. With the exception of the mini flourless chocolate cakes and the calamansi ice box, Victoria made the difficult decision for me. And boy, was I glad she did it. She has impeccable choice in many things, above all is her taste in desserts. I had a grand time tasting and eventually devouring all of M Bakery’s confections.

M Bakery’s Mini Flourless Chocolate Cakes, P220.00 (US $4.18) each. I ate them within a minute of each other. No regrets. 🙂
Chocolate Buttercream Cake, P220.00 (US $4.18) per slice. It is rich and moist with velvety texture. It tastes better than it looks.
M Bakery Chocolate Buttercream Cake is the definition of yumminess.
Ice Box Cakes are handmade chocolate wafers layered with puree whipped cream cheese.

Calamansi Ice Box, P275.00 (US $5.22). It has graham cracker crust with traditional calamansi custard filling. This is the item I like the least. The calamansi flavor is too strong and off-putting.
Red Velvet Cheesecake, P275.00 (US $5.22). This sinfully decadent cheesecake is topped with whipped vanilla icing or cream cheese icing. It is good to the last bite.
Lemon Cheesecake, P275.00 (US $5.22). It has lemon cream filling with lemon merengue buttercream. The taste of lemon is pronounced but not overwhelming. Perfect balance of sweetness and zest.
