The Alley by Vikings (UP Town Center, Quezon City) – Part I

The Alley by Vikings at UP Town Center is a smorgasbord of dishes that one can rarely find even in buffet restaurants. The Alley by Vikings has at least 15 food stalls that cater to every food craving of its guests – from Kapampangan dishes and Pinoy street food to plates of Italian and Spanish yumminess. Throw in a couple of dessert and drinks stations and guests will be in food coma, but happily to be in that state.

I have a blood chemistry test in a few days, so I had to stop myself from gorging on high-cholesterol food. I still had seven plates of food, but I avoided overeating (hahahahaha!) and meat.

I have to mention that everyone in The Alley by Vikings were courteous and friendly. Someone greeted me, “good morning!” or “good afternoon!” every three steps, and the servers were as polite and as accommodating.

This post, which is the first of a three-part series, focuses on the food stalls that offer everything but desserts and drinks.

Frituen Batsoy

Frituen Batsoy’s dishes

Frituen Batsoy’s bagnet. I had a teeny tiny taste of this bagnet, and it was yum! I also liked the sauce that came with it.

Lost & Pound

Lost & Pound’s Ballpark Nachos, My Burgeritto, and L&P Chicken Wings. The Ballpark Nacho had generous serving of meat, and it tasted fine. The patty of my Burgeritto had no taste at all and it was a little dry. My L&P chicken wing was dry and even with the tomato catsup, it was tasteless.

Lost & Pound’s Tower Fries

New York Pizza and Buono

New York Pizza’s pizza

O’Sean Eleven serves chowder (a little bland for me), giant squid (a little rubbery for my taste), and chips and fries (the one chip I had was oily but the fries were decent, although they were on the thin side).

Just a Minute Steak

Street Wok offers Thai food. This was the only stall whose food had overflowing flavor.

Street Wok’s Thai Spicy Chicken. This was not so spicy and the chicken was tender and flavorful.

Street Wok’s Beef Rendang

Street Wok’s Pad Thai

    1. Hello, Cynthia.
I am not in any way connected to The Alley by Vikings. If you cannot reach them via phone, maybe you can check their website.
Thank you and I hope you will be able to make a reservation.

    1. You can go without reservations and be accommodated, but if you are going on weekends or holidays, I would suggest to make a reservation first.
