Portrait of Nature, Part II

Maya birds perched on twigs seemingly singing in unison, a deceptively unembellished recreation of rice paddies, and a nostalgic depiction of a street in a pueblo are just some of the artworks featured in Portrait Artists Society of the Philippines, Inc. (PASPI) Manila Chapter’s Portrait of Nature.

Portrait of Nature is the first exhibit of the group guided by its founder and chairman Romulo Galicano and its president Cee Cadid.

Portrait of Nature unveils images that take their inspiration from whatever surrounds the artists – from sunrise in wildfire to the end of the rainbow. They hark back to the age of innocence, when Mother Nature was pure and unadulterated and when life was georgic, and it was not a bad thing.

Portrait of Nature art exhibit at Gateway Gallery will run until August 23, 2019.
