Samgyupsalamat Unlimited Korean BBQ – Araneta Center Cubao, Quezon City

I did not plan to eat at Samgyupsalamat Unlimited Korean BBQ in Araneta Center Cubao, Quezon City. An unfortunate miscommunication in reservation at a nearby buffet restaurant, coupled with the heat of that Saturday morning, caused me to look for the closest buffet restaurant in the area. I ended at Samgyupsalamat Unlimited Korean BBQ.

Thankfully, it was open at 11am and there were fewer than 20 diners inside. My brother, cousin, and our friend sat in a corner table, tasted the various banchan (side dishes), and cooked the meat, waited the meat to be cooked, and ate the cooked meat faster than we could cook them. I am not a fan of cooking my own food in a restaurant. I feel that it defeats the purpose of going out. Samgyupsalamat did not change my mind, but the banchan especially the chapcahe (glass noodle stir fried vegetable) and the goguma mattang (candied sweet potato) made the effort almost worthwhile. The meat they served were all decent.

I just want to commend the waitstaff for being accommodating and attentive to our orders.

The sauces
Banchan: Chapchae (glass noodle stir fried vegetable), oi sobagi (spicy cucumber kimchi), and lettuce. They were all good and the lettuce was crisp and was perfect with the meat
Banchan: Goguma mattang (candied sweet potato), chickin mu (pickled radish), yangpa jangajii (soy braised onion), and kimchi (salted and fermented vegetables. They were all delectable. I had more side dishes than meat.
