On January 28, 2018, some of government officials and MRRD NECC national core leaders were in Lala, Lanao del Norte to attend MRRD NECC Lanao del Norte Summit for the Campaign on Federalism and Campaign Against Illegal Drugs, Criminalities, & Corruption.
Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Martin Diño, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Undersecretary Emily Padilla, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary Virginia Orogo, Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Director General Harold Clavite, and Coconut Industry Investment Fund – Oil Mills Group (CIIF – OMG) Director Rehan Balt Lao, were the speakers for their respective fields of expertise.
They talked about President Rodrigo Duterte’s vision for the Philippines, a country free from crime, illegal drugs, corruption, insurgency, and poverty. Aside from these, they explained the basic structures of the Federalism system of government and its advantages over the current one. The event ended with the mass pledge of support and allegiance of the members of MRRD NECC.
The summit would not have been possible without the effort of Ms. Grelina Lim and Lala Mayor Allan Lim. Thank you so much for the hospitability throughout our stay in Mindanao.
