Year Four

Four years. Four hundred ninety posts. Four pounds in weight gain, or maybe it was fourteen or forty. More than four faithful readers. A new ambassadress in TR, who is the bolder and braver version of me. I am a happy camper. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is Year Four in review.

TR is the new face of wanderingbakya.com. From the moment Juan gave her to me, she has accompanied me to almost all of my travels. She is always camera-ready and yes, she wakes up like that. TRโ€™s companion is TJ, my favorite cowboy.

The places I visited in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao include Fantasy World in Batangas, Biri Island in Northern Samar, and Maria Cristina Falls in Iligan City.

Some of the events I attended, most of which happened in Mindanao.

Travelling to different places is synonymous with buying pasalubong. Here are some pasalubong from the different places in Mindanao.

Pasalubong from Cagayan de Oro City

Pasalubong from Luzon and Visayas

Of course, my love for food has not waned a bit. Some of the Filipino dishes I had and enjoyed thoroughly.

Some of the food I had from non-Filipino restaurants

My appetite for buffet food is still unquenchable โ€“ Lugang Cafรฉ (SM North EDSA)

The Alley by Vikings (UP Town Center)

I continued to support Filipino movies and unleashed my inner emotera by posting hugot lines.

To all of those who have read my posts, which are my love letters to the world, thank you so much. I appreciate you joining me in my journey to discover what is out there and what is within me. I hope to see you in the fabulous fifth year of wanderingbakyaโ€™s existence. ๐Ÿ™‚

My heartfelt thank you to Juan for tirelessly reading what I write on this platform and beyond, for the wonderful time in the islands of white sand, blue waters, and green towering trees, and for TR. Happy Birthday, JUA. ๐Ÿ™‚

To Marcos, you have been my harshest critic and you never fail to take me down a peg or two. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for keeping me grounded.

Madamo nga salamat to the boys of wanderingbakya, my brother, John, So, Ares, and Albert, for being there when this blog was a mere figment of my imagination and for the continued help whenever I need it. ๐Ÿ™‚
