After our lunch at Din Tai Fung, Che, Hope, Juvy, and I decided to have desserts and drinks at St. Marc Café in Greenbelt 3, a Japanese coffee shop that has multiple branches in the Philippines. St. Marc Café is a specialty bakery and patisserie that is almost synonymous to its ChocoCro (a chocolate croissant), which is incidentally the item that I order all the time I go there. Aside from ChocoCro, St. Marc Café is known for other flaky edibles, colorful and enticing pastries, and flavorful drinks.
St. Marc Café in Greenbelt 3 is a medium-sized place that can seat at most 80 customers at a time. It is divided into two areas. The one near the entrance has more lighting and is more conducive for those who plan to stay for the duration of the desserts and drinks. The other part is divided from the rest of the place by a simple wall-like structure. It is dimmer and each table has electrical sockets for those who plan to have a meeting or a study group while nursing a cup of tea for hours on end.
St. Marc Café is relatively quiet with no limbs flailing around every two seconds. Moreover, there is no unwanted music or announcements that interrupt conversations or reveries.
In my past visits at St. Marc Café, I have had their croissants, French toast, Danish pastries, teas, and a couple of desserts, but I have not taken any photos. But I like their cone dessert Sunshine, for its perfectly ripe mangoes (I am picky when it comes to mangoes), Four Red Fruits Tea because it comes with two tea bags, and flaky butter Danish.
