Sulong ang Pag-unlad Movement (SAPM) is a non-stock and non-profit organization, which is established to focus on the following advocacies:
1) small and medium enterprises
2) anti-corruption and good governance
3)programs for youth, women, persons with disability, elderly, and indigenous people
SAPM is led by Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary Mitch Cajayon-Uy. Usec. Cajayon-Uy serves as the National Chairperson of SAPM. The other leaders and the members of SAPM come from different geopolitical regions of the country and include those from the government, non-governmental organizations, and private sectors.
On April 24, 2018, SAPM had a National and Regional Officers’ Acquaintance Meeting at Networld Hotel in Pasay City. The national and regional officers had the chance to talk to each other and discuss pertinent topics over dinner. In the same event, SAPM national and regional officers pledged their support for Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go to run for a Senate seat in the 2019 elections. The program ended with the officers receiving their appointments from SAPM National Chairperson Cajayon-Uy and SAPM National President Rehan Balt Lao.
