La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) From the Words of the Thieves – Part 1 (Episodes 1 to 6)

I watched the first season of La Casa de Papel in Spanish. Those 15 episodes were mindblowing. When it came out in Netflix, I knew I had to watch it also. Let me say that the characters in the Spanish version are more fun and the voices are way better. The dubbed version in Netflix diminishes the intensity and the passion that are pronounced in the original.

Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó) is annoying in both languages. Berlin (Pedro Alonso), Moscow (Paco Tous), and The Professor (Álvaro Morte) are my favorites.

Here are some memorable quotes from Netflix’s La Casa de Papel (Money Heist):

Quotes from Part 1 Episode 1 of La Casa de Papel (Money Heist):

“And that’s how I met the Professor, by pointing a gun at his balls.” – Tokyo

“The good thing about relationships is that we ended up forgetting how they started.” – Tokyo

“Those motherfuckers! I wish I had thought of it first.” – The Professor

“It’s vital that we have positive support of the public. We will be fucking heroes in the country.” – the Professor

“This crew obviously needs more women. A woman can spend two days choosing shoes for a wedding, but she wouldn’t spend a single minute arguing about masks for a heist.” – Tokyo

“Courage and heroism come with a price, and it’s higher than the 1600 euros a month made by a guy in uniform or a driver.” – Tokyo

“If you think about it, there’s never a good day for a heist.” – Tokyo

“She’s 17 years old. I think I can handle her.” – Tokyo

“And during that sweet calm before the storm, it seemed just like an ordinary day.” – Tokyo

“We have love. We have love. I can feel it.” – Rio or Aníbal Cortés (Miguel Herrán)

Quotes from Part 1 Episode 2 of La Casa de Papel (Money Heist):

“The love of my life died because of me, so the last thing I would think about is having an affair with a kid.” – Tokyo

“Then why did I hear her headboard thumping against my wall like a jackhammer every night? Do you think she’s learning how to dance the Samba at 5 o’clock in the morning?” – Berlin or Andrés de Fonollosa (Pedro Alonso)

“I would have fucked her, too. I may try to.” – Berlin

“Look, kid, women will have sex with you because their brains are programmed to tame you and reproduce. Later, you’ll cease to exist. You’ll see that during childbirth.” – Berlin

“During labor, what comes out between her legs is a nuclear warhead that destroys everything. First, the wonderful cave where you used to put your dick will never be the same. And while she curses you and asks the epidural, she’ll shit herself. Do you hear what I’m saying to you? She’ll no longer be sexy. And from that day on, that sucker will be the center of the universe. They’re all like that. Take if from me, I’ve had five divorces. Understand what that means? Five times I thought I was in love.” – Berlin

“What are you wearing?” – The Professor

“You have the fucking nerve to tell them you’re mourning your boyfriend. You weren’t mourning when you asked me to fuck you against the wall. I didn’t see a rosary in your fingers.” – Rio

“Don’t you find the connection we have really special? I was actually just about to call you right now.” – The Professor

“Tell me, Inspector. Have you ever faked an orgasm?” – The Professor

“You see, a man is programmed to ejaculate in the shortest time possible. And a woman, to last the longest time possible. A lack of compatibility in nature sometimes gets resolved by a faked orgasm.” – Raquel

“Once again, it all comes down to a question of feelings. You really remind me of myself. I was 18, she was 44, she was my French teacher. And I was the favorite.” – Berlin

“You may not give a shit about what I am going to say, but I think abortion is not a good idea.” – Denver or Daniel or Ricardo Ramos (Jaime Lorente)

“She needs you to put it in her mouth with some water?” – Berlin

“An abortion is something private. It’s a woman’s decision, but not in front of everybody.” – Denver

“Did you just come from a bachelor’s party? Or on your way?” – Berlin

“That wasn’t the first time put his hands down the pants of an honest woman, though that was the first time he took them out so quickly. “If you ever put your hands on me again, you’re a dead man.” – Berlin

“What sort of games did you play as a girl?” – The Professor

“We decided not to go to prison.” – The Professor

“I hate the sea, fish, and sand in the beach.” – The Professor

“You could have scared her, not kill her. Cut her ear, like in the movies.” – Nairobi

“A thief is, by definition, a habitual optimist. He always believe everything will be okay, but Moscow was the first to crack. He was a good man. He made you feel confident, looked after you, and told you bad jokes. He was very sweet.” – Tokyo

What I don’t understand is what would you do if your father fell apart in the middle of all of this. Are you a burglar before a son? Huh, Berlin? Like you’re not human? Yes, for a piece of shit like you, maybe. But, I don’t know.” – Nairobi

Quotes from Part 1 Episode 5 of La Casa de Papel (Money Heist):

The say that when we stand that the threshold of death, we can finally see our lives clearly. As Arturo Román while bleeding out on the table, he waited exactly for this. For the clarity of death to reveal to him who was the true love of his life. Laura, his loving and devoted wife of 14 years or Mónica, his secretary and lover, who made him feel young again. Unfortunately, the only certainty for Arturo is that either they dig the bullet out or he’ll die before finding out the answer to his question.” – Tokyo

“Hey, wait, wait, wait. What is this? You’re gonna teach us to be medics with some markers?” – Denver

“Denver, he’s just teaching us how to remove a bullet. This isn’t brain surgery.” – Berlin

“It’s not really that hard. Just take the pliers, grab the bullet, yank it out. And that’s it.” – Nairobi

“I’d rather be a cripple and free than be stuck in jail and healthy.” – Tokyo

“So are we done? My dick is as shriveled as Helsinki’s.” – Denver

“I’ve been a widow for twenty years. You can’t turn time back. It just keeps marching on.” – Maribi (Kiti Mánver)

“That kid is a survivor. He’s been through so much. He’s a buoy floating on water, he won’t sink. He’s so strong.” – Nairobi

Nairobi: I want that man so much. He makes me feel so horny. So horny! So horny!
Tokyo: Really, ‘cause I can’t tell.
Nairobi: You can’t?
Tokyo: No. You’re practically screaming it.

“We’re here for a robbery, not to kill … or save lives! Fuck! What the hell did we get into?” – Moscow

“Wives are made for these moments. Very comforting. No one remembers their wife when they’re out at a club getting wasted and fucking around, but when there’s a problem, an accident, or just afraid, things change.” – Berlin

“If you say anything stupid, I will finish you as your wife listens. Got it?” – Berlin

“All those years I wasted chasing things that weren’t important like status and money, but the only thing that matters is you. It’s always been you. Since the day I met you. You know sometimes I try, I try to remember that day and I wonder what the hell you saw in me, Mónica. Laura.” – Arturo

Professor: That will be our opportunity to employ a Trojan Horse. What’s that?
Denver: Don’t know, but it rhymes with…
Professor: No! The Trojan Horse is…
Denver: rhymes with whores!

Quotes from Part 1 Episode 6 of La Casa de Papel (Money Heist):

“I love both of them. That’s the truth. When you look from the outside, it’s easy to judge. Everybody thinks that I’m a scoundrel. A real son of a bitch.” – Arturo

“God forbids me from making any more judgments.” – Berlin

“I’m actually a piece of shit. A man in love with two great women who does not have the guts to choose one of them.” – Arturo

“Being a father is like having huge of problems, tons of BS being dropped on you for the rest of your life. It’s being worried for the rest of your life.” – Moscow

“Send our regards to the outside.” – Berlin

“Hidden behind the metallic voice with cameras and negotiation strategies, the Professor was in his element. Everything else his life felt alien to him. He had two different sides, like Clark Kent and Superman. Maybe because he spent his entire childhood alone bedridden in a hospital in San Sebastian, talking only to old nurses and reading books. He wasn’t normal. He wasn’t social. And he wasn’t a womanizer. So I loved making him nervous.” – Tokyo

“There’s a lot of things people find sexy. Dancing, muscles, blond hair. French accents. Do you know what’s sexy to me? Intelligence. When someone smart talks to me I practically drool. Does not matter if they are tall, short, ugly, or hot it makes me horny when someone talks to me about things I don’t know.” – Tokyo

“Well, sapiophilia sounds like a fucking frog.” – Tokyo

“Dali. Munch. What’s next?” – Raquel

“We’re playing a fucking game of chess. And we’re losing!” – Raquel

“Have you ever thought that if you could go back in time, you wouldn’t make the same decisions? We all make bad decisions and some of them snowball. They become massive, like the Indiana Jones boulder, chasing you downhill only to crush you.” – Tokyo

“All the decisions we made in the past inevitably lead us into the future.” – Tokyo

“Goodness. Not even in the USA! This is made in Spain. We have officially made our mark!” – Nairobi

“Do you want to be a traitor? A snitch? A disgusting rat?” – Berlin

“I’ve broken the first rule of the plan. I killed a hostage. Well, not me personally, but Denver.” – Berlin

“That woman had a cellphone between her legs.” – Berlin

“Will you punish me? I think you should. I know you’re an idealist. You think that they’ll just hand over the cash if we ask politely. You wanna be the good guy although you’re armed with explosive to blow this place to hell. But no more games. You will have to punish me because if you don’t have the guts, this won’t end well. I’ve said this many times over the years. It’s not me who has a problem. It’s you. You need to punish me to show that you’re a true leader. Someone who can firmly hold the wheel. The group needs to know you’re someone who delivers. You don’t seem like you want to talk about this. Nobody knows about this woman, so everything continues on as planned.” – Berlin
