I just found out that Kapamilya Channel’s Kathniel latest television series 2 Good 2 Be True will have 130 episodes. That is too many for me to hang on to one series. Let us see how long I can watch it much more how long I can post about it.

I normally give up after 20 episodes in one season. One of the very few series I finished was El Barco (43 episodes in three seasons) mainly because I was in my first couple of years studying Spanish (I think I was in A2 level). I tried to do the same with Enemigo Íntimo (113 episodes in two seasons) but my eyes and mind gave up after 20 episodes in the second season. These Spanish series are longer (at least 60 minutes per episode) but they have it all – sexy leads that for some reason do the most idiotic things, strong second leads, villains that are too good you want them to succeed in killing the sexy but moronic protagonists, all the blood and gore, corruption that goes all the way to the top of the hierarchy, and uncommon premises. I watch 30-minute American series with 16-20 episodes in a season without problem. Recently, I also watch Korean series with 12 to 16 70-minute episodes in one and done seasons. I am okay with those. But 130 episodes. Hmmm. That’s another level of dedication.

I digressed. Going back to 2 Good 2 Be True, Ali (Kathryn Bernardo) is now the personal assistant of Hugo (Ronaldo Valdez), who seems to be implicated in the accident that cause Eloy’s (Daniel Padilla) mother’s death and his father’s subsequent incarceration. Hmmm. Interesting. But is it 130 episode worth interesting? I will find out next week (I watch it on Netflix, but only on weekends).
