The Selah Garden Hotel is an 82-room boutique accommodation in Pasay City. This modest hotel in the middle of the concrete jungle of Metro Manila is a stone’s throw away from Libertad station of LRT 1 and a little farther from Taft Station of MRT. This accessible guesthouse is different than most that offer the same services.
The Selah Garden Hotel provides its guests with amenities that are usually found in more spacious areas outside the city. Aside from Tabla restaurant and its entertainment, meditation center, and function room, The Selah Garden Hotel advocates taking care of Mother Nature and one’s self. It has a garden beside the pool, plant walls, zipline rides, wall for climbing, and almost-horizontal ladders above the pool area. There are turtles in aquariums that little kids can look at. I stayed there for a couple of minutes and stare at these slow-moving creatures, and they gave me a sense of Zen.
I stayed there over the weekend for 10 hours. I slept most of the time to recuperate from a just-ended work week and woke up rejuvenated after a rainy night (which prevented me from trying some of the activities).
The small rooms (not in photo) were cozy instead of inducing a feeling of claustrophobia. The shower was relaxing. The staff was accommodating and friendly.
