Tabla is the main dining option at The Selah Garden Hotel in Pasay City. I presume that this restaurant is named after the large block of wood that dominates the center of the place.
Tabla is located beside the pool and is reachable from the
front desk via a narrow and short alley. The side opposite of the pool has a
wall of greenery called the Manuel Wall. The Manuel Wall Modular System is a
family-based ecological diversion and recycling of waste. It is UV-resistant
and environment friendly where ornamental and edible plants can be grown. It is
a space saver and can be called farm or food wall. This verdant panel is a
great contrast from the blueness of the pool.
Like The Selah Garden Hotel, Tabla is a compact space yet
there is no sense of denseness in the area. The tables are arranged in a way
that the diners feel comfortable.
Tabla’s menu does not boast of a great variety of dishes.
There is a dearth of fish and seafood options and the vegetable dishes leave me
wanting more.
