Some think that fruits like pineapple are unacceptable as pizza topping. Some think that chocolate as pizza topping is also inappropriate. Now, S&R combine a fruit (strawberry) and chocolates to titillate the taste buds of its customers.
For the months of February and March 2018, S&R offers Chocolate Strawberry S’mores, a dessert pizza with smorgasbord of toppings that seem highly unlikely to go together. S&R Chocolate Strawberry S’mores Dessert Pizza has a bed of Graham crackers immediately on top of the dough, followed by pillow-soft marshmallows, and fresh strawberries stuck in vanilla icing. All of this sweetness is drizzled with chocolate syrup. The description is enough to make one diabetic but the truth is, this dessert pizza is not as sweet as the previous dessert pizzas offered by S&R. The presence of the fluffy marshmallows cut through the sweetness and makes the whole creation balance in terms of flavor. The fresh strawberry slices leave a lot to be desired, they are too thin, too tiny, and too few so much so that they get lost in all the sea of marshmallows. They should have call it Chocolate S’mores Dessert Pizza to make it fitting.
