I attended an event at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City last week. The night before the occasion, I was billeted in Midas Hotel and Casino. I slept a total of two hours, which is two hours more than the winks my other companions got, but I enjoyed my 9-hour stay at Midas Hotel and Casino tremendously. My only regret was not being able to partake in their breakfast buffet – which is supposedly “truly impressive and gratifying”.
According to its website, Midas Hotel and Casino mixes glamor, contemporary style, and cutting edge culture, which amplify Manila’s vibrancy with artistic ambiance and local flair. It has 225 carefully appointed spacious guest rooms and suites with all the amenities a visitor would want. Its staff was efficient, polite and accommodating (we asked for packing tape and borrowed their puncher), from the time we checked in until I lumbered my way out of their main entrance at 630am, looking like a zombie.

I love this bed with three fluffy pillows of different sizes. I normally use two pillows but for my 2-hour slumber (yes, I was dead to the world for those two heavenly hours), I utilized all three of them and it was like a garden of marshmallows.
Bedside table. This table has a handy smartphone, which enables the guest to make unlimited local and international calls to select regions (China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, UAE, and USA) and free internet access. Its internet connection was quite fast.
This couch, which can double as a sleeping area for a third person, is super comfy. I did most of my work on this couch.
Sink and hair dryer (oh, lovelovelove)
I so wanted to take advantage of this bathtub and soak my sore body in the warm water but I had no time.

Behind this almost narcissistic omnipresence of mirrors are some essentials – iron, weighing scale, security box, and flashlight.
I was not able to use the bathrobe but the slippers were fluffier than most hotel slippers. What made my heart raced was the presence of ironboard and iron (not in photo)!
Security box, flashlight, and iron!
Mini-bar stuff and coffee and tea
I am super cheap and seeing kits like these make my eyes go bigger. Hahaha. This time though, the only thing I took home was the olive and basil lotion. I adore the statements on the boxes. So cute!
