The Best of Anime (BoA) 2015 is the 6th edition of this anime convention where cosplayers in the Philippines and their famous Japanese counterparts meet. The Best of Anime 2015 coincided with the 36th Manila International Book Fair, which was the sole reason of my visit to SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasig City. I was surprised to see teenagers and teens-at-heart dressed as anime characters roaming around the SMX Convention Center, applying make-up inside the restrooms and eating lunch in restaurants nearby. They were a fun bunch who were willing to pose with strangers for photo ops. ๐ Anime is beyond the realm of my knowledge, but props to these anime enthusiasts for exerting a lot of effort to be in character. ๐
The two-day affair, which ran from September 19-20, 2015, included an All-Star cosplay competition, film showing, art workshop, band performances and battle of battle of the bands, and meet and greet with international cosplayers from Japan, Taiwan and Singapore.
Of course, I had to have a photo with this cute couple. It is not everyday that I see people dressed like them in the streets of Metro Manila.
