Pelikula/Película: Manila Spanish Film Festival 2018 – The Short Films

The Spanish words “película”, which means film, translates to the Tagalog “pelikula”, echoing the cultural ties shared by Spain and the Philippines. In line with this spirit, since its first edition. PELÍCULA Manila Spanish Film Festival has aimed to put up joint Filipino – Spanish programs.

On October 12 and 20, 2018, through its “Encuentros en el Cine”, PELÍCULA 2018 will offer the similar program “Shorts from the Philippines and Spain”. The program will feature ten recent Spanish shorts and will premiere two Filipino short films – The Gathering by Arvin Belarmino and Our Love Story, the directorial debut of Xian Lim.

2018 PELÍCULA Manila Spanish Film Festival starts on October 4, 2018 and runs until October 20, 2018 in three venues.
