DJ Street Burger is a wonderful outdoor dining establishment in Carmona, Cavite. Its no-nonsense set-up beside the street lends it simplicity and playfulness.
I have eaten there four times thus far. I always succumb to the aroma of its patties. The smell of its burger patties being grilled makes my stomach growl even when full. The tantalizing whiff of the patty is just a come on. What makes me go back is the stack of relatively freshly-prepared ingredients that compose the stack of burger they prepare.
I have consumed DJ Street Burger’s San Pablo Street Quarter Pounder and JM Loyola Street Breakfast Burger because they are the smallest ones. Each order comes with a side of fries and colored drinks – I have had red tea and blue lemonade.
The quarter pounder has 100% pure beef patty, cheddar cheese, mustard sauce, fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, and ketchup. The patty is heavy in terms of mass and flavor and the vegetable slices that come with it are generous. I found out that I love more serving of vegetables in my burger. Who would have known?
The breakfast burger has 100% pure beef patty, melted cheese, mustard sauce, fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, egg, and ketchup. I usually go for runny sunny side up eggs for breakfast and theirs is perfect in its runniness glory. The egg on top gives the burger another layer of awesomeness as it contrasts with the hint of piquant-ness in the patty.
When I am in the area, I check if they are open to serve their throng of hungry customers. My stomach performs a somersault when they are, and I order my burger in advance and relatively to savor it while the sun setting and the harsh winds of the afternoon slowly turn into a comforting breeze.
I cannot wait to try their San Jose Street Hawaiian Burger. I love pineapples in burgers!
This is a personal note: the owners of DJ Street Burger are two young guys who are amiable.
