Two Sundays ago, I attended the afternoon mass at Mt. Carmel Church along Broadway Avenue. After the mass, the sun had let up in its scorching fury but still enough to make me perspire. I am a glutton for punishment, and for this reason I decided to walk around the neighborhood and sweat a little more.
I ended up in one of my favorite stores, Connie’s Kitchen Deli, which is almost across the church, and then near St. Paul University – Quezon City, where I came across a balut and kropek vendor. The balut (too dry) and the kropek (too bland) were consumed immediately, so all I have to show for that walk are the photos I took inside Connie’s Kitchen Deli. The many new items for sale made me realize that I have not visited the store in weeks! I must return soon.
