The first time I laid eyes on a box of Snack Box was in a stall in Sabado Mercado – San Juan City Weekend Market. I was intrigued by the shapely and colorful packaging and the darkness of the brownie crunch advertised on the box was the cherry on the cake. I love anything remotely chocolate-y, so that dark as sin brownie crunch was just oh la la. At that time, each box was sold for P150.00 (US $2.88)*, a little steep for something I could gobble up in less than three minutes. So, imagine the happiness I felt when I went to Connie’s Kitchen Deli and discovered that the same box costs only P100.00 (US $1.92), a third of the price lower! Without second thought, I bought several boxes for my personal consumption and for sharing with friends and countrymen.
*Exchange Rate: US $1 = P52.00
